And every so often, you’ll have these moments. These moments where you crawl right out of yourself and emerge, blinking in the fierce light of a new consciousness. And the old pain is still there but it changed, somehow. And
You are made of those stars you crave.
And it’s so hard sometimes, and you can’t sleep for crying and the room closes in. You feel you have no control, but that’s the illusion. If only you’d remember, the whole world is yours. You create all that you see.
A lot of people will tell you to just “get over it” or remind you it is in the past, but those of us who have been through it understand that trauma remains in the mind, body and soul no matter how long ago it happened.
Thankfully, there are many ways to heal yourself from trauma, and I want to share with you some of the best I have found in my own journey to wholeness.
You with those eyes that can see so deep into souls. You who can explode with light from those wounded places. You who can touch a truth that lies beyond words. With your presence, you sanctify. Who you Are is enough, it is more than enough. Who you Are is perfection. Immortalised divinity. You are shining steel forged in the fire of your suffering, and you have suffered, and you remain.
The sun rose to meet you this morning and the trees scattered their leaves about your feet amongst the sparkling dew, and you sat in your sadness and you wept. And though you could not see me, I was there. I adore you in your sadness, love. I adore your bravery; how you let yourself drown in despair, how the light reflects off your tears and shines out of you even when you are blinded to your own beauty.
